Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the agreement between Affinity Promise Weddings and our clients. By confirming a booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed contract and the agreed deposit amount. Until both conditions are met, your date remains available to other clients. We recommend securing your date as early as possible, particularly for peak wedding seasons.

Booking enquiries and provisional holds do not constitute a reservation and carry no obligation on either party.

Deposit & Payment Terms

A non-refundable booking deposit (typically 30–50% of the total package fee) is required to secure your date. The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before your wedding or session date unless otherwise agreed in your contract.

Late payments may result in services being withheld until the outstanding balance is cleared. All fees are quoted and invoiced in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

If you cancel your booking: • More than 90 days before the event — you forfeit the deposit only. • 30–90 days before the event — 50% of the total package fee is due. • Fewer than 30 days before the event — the full package fee is due.

If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate the new date at no additional charge, subject to availability. If we are unavailable on your new date, the cancellation policy above applies.

In the unlikely event that Affinity Promise Weddings must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergency, or force majeure), we will make every effort to provide a suitable replacement photographer. If no replacement is possible, all payments received will be refunded in full.

On the Wedding Day

We will arrive at the agreed time and location. Clients are responsible for informing us of any schedule changes at least 48 hours in advance. Significant delays caused by the client, venue restrictions, or circumstances outside our control do not extend coverage time automatically — additional hours are available at an agreed overtime rate.

We require safe and reasonable working conditions. If conditions are deemed unsafe at our professional judgement, we reserve the right to adjust our coverage accordingly.

Image Delivery

Edited digital images will be delivered via an online gallery within the timeframe stated in your contract (typically 6–10 weeks for weddings, 2–3 weeks for sessions). Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee.

Images are selected and edited at our professional discretion. We do not deliver unedited raw files. The number of delivered images is an estimate; the exact count depends on the nature and flow of the event.

Image Rights & Usage

You are granted a personal, non-commercial licence to print and share your delivered images freely. You may not sell, licence, or commercially exploit the images without our written consent.

Affinity Promise Weddings retains full copyright of all images captured. We reserve the right to use images from your event for portfolio, website, print, and social media promotion. If you prefer your images remain private, please inform us in writing before the event and we will fully respect that request.

Albums & Printed Products

Album and print orders are finalised once designs are approved by the client. Once an order is placed with our printing partners, changes are not possible. Affinity Promise Weddings is not liable for variations in colour or finish that fall within industry-standard tolerances.

Albums are heirloom quality products. Damage, loss, or defects caused after delivery are not covered under our warranty.

Limitation of Liability

In the rare event of equipment failure, unexpected illness, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control, our liability is limited to a refund of payments received. We strongly recommend that clients take out wedding insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

Affinity Promise Weddings shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from failure to deliver services, including but not limited to emotional distress or loss of memories.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from or relating to our services shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If no resolution is reached, disputes may be referred to a mutually agreed mediator or the competent courts of Sri Lanka.
